About S.M.Raza

S.M.Raza is a Visual Artist and Educator. His work has been featured in local and international art exhibitions. Raza was part of an Artist's residency at Gyeonggi Creation Center, South Korea (2012) and Vasl Taza Tareen residency in Lahore, Pakistan (2011). His work has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, such as “An Ode to Silence” in 2022 “Pipe Dream” in 2013 at Artchowk Gallery, and "Lucid Dreams" at Canvas Art Gallery Karachi in 2016. He has been a Senior Concept Artist at Waadi Animations for Animated Movie “3 Bahadur” and on other art projects. Currently, He is working as Adjunct faculty at the Visual Studies Department -the University of Karachi and Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture.

How S.M.Raza works

I mainly work with oils, but acrylics, watercolors and graphite pencils are my go to materials. An oil painting usually takes 2 week.
