A painter of measured intent. Studio practice rooted in Beirut, with a deepening body of landscape and figurative work.
How Yara works
I draw on toned paper so the highlights become a subtractive act. Building, erasing, rebuilding — the drawing usually improves twice and collapses once before it settles. I prefer willow to compressed because willow is easier to argue with.
