About the piece

Created during the Skardu Art Residency, this painting was inspired by the breathtaking landscape overlooking Shangrila Resort. Drawn to the tranquil reflections, majestic mountains, and the quiet harmony of nature, I sought to capture not only the beauty of the scene but also the sense of peace it evoked. Rather than reproducing the landscape exactly as it appeared, this work is my personal interpretation of the moment—where light, atmosphere, and memory come together on the canvas. It reflects my ongoing exploration of nature as a source of inspiration, inviting the viewer to pause, reflect, and experience the timeless serenity of Skardu. Nouman Khan Nomi
