Created during the Skardu Art Residency, this painting was inspired by a tranquil landscape encountered on the way to the Buddha Rock site. The scene captures the pristine waters flowing from Satpara Lake, a small rustic wooden bridge, and distant trees dressed in the warm colors of autumn. As the evening sun casts its golden light across the mountains, its reflections shimmer gently upon the water, transforming the landscape into a moment of quiet radiance. Rather than documenting a specific location, this work is an expression of the atmosphere that captivated me—the harmony of light, water, and rugged mountains. The golden hour reveals nature at its most contemplative, inviting the viewer to slow down and experience the silence, balance, and timeless beauty of the Skardu valley. Through this painting, I seek to preserve not only a memorable landscape but also the fleeting emotions inspired by a place where nature, history, and light come together in perfect harmony.
