About the piece
To me, Lahore is not just a city—it is a living canvas, constantly evolving and changing, yet always rooted in its rich past. My work is a humble attempt to freeze moments in time, to capture the colors, the light, and the emotions that define this vibrant city. Through the fluid, translucent layers of watercolor, I aim to bring out the many facets of Lahore—from its architectural splendor to the simple, everyday beauty that often goes unnoticed. Every time I pick up my brush, I feel as though I am embarking on a new journey through the streets of Lahore, rediscovering its charm all over again. This particular painting is not just to potray an image. It's convey the idea of living people and their shops within old architecture. In the end, Lahore’s colors are not just in its bricks, its bazaars, or its skies—they are in the hearts of its people, and that is what I aim to bring to life in each and every stroke of my brush.
